Air Supply

                                                    (From Sheikh Zayeed Museum)

Air Supply

Green day.

Air Supply, an old band I like, is coming to Dubai.

I asked to my family last night: ''Would you like to go to the Air Supply concert with me?"
My husband replied: "I'd rather have the flu than go to an Air Supply concert."

My daughter asked: "What is Air Supply?"

My husband showed my daughter an Air Supply song on the Internet.

My daughter was speechless for a while, her eyebrow raised. My daughter listens to punk music, her absolute favourite being Green Day.

I used to listen Air Supply, ABBA and Yousui Inoue.

Their music is a lovely memory from when I was in my 20's.

Thank you for visiting.
Have a great day.

  2. Dear Midori snowing here!Your words make me smile!
As a young I was lucky ... I loved the Beatles, who were the big news of 1965.
And after, they have become classical music, my daughter and the kids of the 80's liked a lot.
    Always and forever cool!
However, comes time when a revival mysteriously brings mother and daughter to love the same things, sooner or later. Just wait.
My daughter is now 33 years old (she has two little daughters) and often think NOW many things that she ,12 years old, had no idea that NEVER would have thought!

  3. Hi maria,

    thank you.
This flower is my imagination. There is the pot in the museum, but there was no flower. I feel like it is interesting to paint from imagination.

  4. Hi Rita,

Actually,I was born and raised a country side. There was no movie theater, no department, no,,, nothing. So I didn't know the Beatles at all. hahaha.
Of course I bought some cassettes tapes(wow, very old fashioned)when I grew up.
That is great to love same thing in the different generations.

  5. Hello Midori:) All kind of memories through your stories. The karate and now the music. Punk! Many many many years ago (I was about 15 years) I listened to the punk music too, but I also wore punk colthing and wore the make-up (mostly black) that came with it:)
Your cat painting is so beautiful. The flowers go great with it. Very nicely done!!

  6. Hi renate,

    I wasn't a punk at all when I was a teenager.
When I was in my early 20's, black was really fashionable. Lots of Japanese designers were designing only black clothes.

I posted about Air Supply the day before yesterday. I never met anybody who likes Air Supply in this town.

This morning I met a lady who loves Air Supply. When I was painting in a park this morning, a lady who was enjoying walking and listening music came with a iPhone which had Air Supply on it which came to me as a big surprise.
