The Rotana debut

Al Ain Art Club

Al Ain watercolour club member's 5 paintings have been displayed until the end of month at the Rotana Hotel Al Ain.

This is Sheik Zayed. Does it look like him?

There is a beautiful mosque in front of our apartment.
Honey always look at it from our living room.
Poor cat.

One of the kid's parent has asked me that let kids paint sceneries. I realized I haven't let them try a scenery. So I'm plannning what kind of scenery they should try as the end of term.

It is too boring, isn't it? Not only kids, even adults.

I joined ''paintingdrawingtogether"again. 26th of this month was a dead line. So I had to finish quickly. I thought that acrylic is not my favourite, but it is really interesting medium, because we can paint forever. I can't see when I should finish. The fruits looks rot, but it is time over.

2010 summer, we stayed a farm in Finland. We were WWOOFER. Working together, eating togerther, drinking, fishing... we had a really good time with Mr.Marti and other WWOOFER and this dog  Sisu.
He was almost blind 2 years ago. I hope he still enjoys his life in the farm

  2. How much work you have published in the last two post, dear Midori!
The WONDERFUL thing is that ALL, sketches and studies or more complex works of Art,reflect your great skill in watercolor and your "special" way of feeling life!
    Warm hugs,Rita.

  3. Hello Midori:) Hansome guy you painted. Is your painting hanging in the hotel as well? Great! What a nice name for a cat! And the painting is very nice. My cats name is Daisy:) Maybe you should do a camel in the dessert? Kids always love animals and the dessert is not to difficult for them?
I already saw your entry for Paint and Draw Together. Beautiful in many ways! Acrylic is fun! Isn't it? Your dog painting is so lovely. Really very good. He looks so cute! I'm sure he has a good time at the farm. Have a nice week!

  4. Hello Midori. I so much enjoyed the work you posted this time! You portrait of the Arab gentleman is wonderful. I LOVE the cat watching the minarets and mosque. But my favorites are of WWOOFER. You painted him with so much love in his expression. :)

  5. Hi Judy,
    thank you.
I should try some more animals. This dog's hair was very short,so it was not hard to paint.

  6. Hi Rita,

    thank you.practice, practice and practice.
I should try at least A4 size. Some pieces are postcard size. Automatically I pick up and use tiny brush. I might creat bad habit.
