きょうの１枚は、デイツの実

１０歳のマリアちゃんは、折り紙が大好き。
アートのレッスンってことになっているけれど、
絵を描くことより、
折り紙をしたがる。
私は、何とか、絵のほうに、向いてくれないかと、
いろいろやっていたが、ついに、最近
ギブアップ。
そこまで、好きならいっしょにやろうってことで、
きょうは、紙飛行機をつくり、
ベランダから、飛ばしてみたりした。
鶴の折り方は、２回でマスターした。さすが、折り紙大好き少女。
日本人は、誰でも、柔道をすると思われているのと
似ていて、日本人だから、折り紙なんて、朝飯前とマリアちゃんはおもっているらしい。
ところが、絵は描くが、
折り紙には、精通はしていない。
折り紙の本をもっているけれど。
最近、やはり、youtube は、断然、力強い見方。
origami とタイプすると、
ドンドンでてくる。
これが、ほんとにすばらしい。
折り紙は、もう、英語になって久しい。
日本にしかないものは、英語にそのままなるので、
非常にうれしいかぎり。

なんだかんだ言いながら、ラマダン、半分終了。
あと、２週間です。

10 year old girl, Malia, loves Origami.

The art lesson is supposed to be for painting something, but she is keen to do Origami all the time.

I always tried to get her to paint, but her eyes were always chasing my origami box in the art lesson. I can't ignore what she wants to do.

So I let her paint for 30 minutes and do origami for the rest of the lesson.

We made a paper plane together and let it fly in the air from my balcony today.

Malia mastered how to make a crane quickly last week.

I've heard that foreigners think all Japanese do Judo generally.

So Malia is not the exception, she must think I can do all of the Japanese cultures very easily.

I feel like she is thinking I am an Origami master. Unfortunately, I am totally not.

But as long as she expects me, I have to do it.

I have some origami books, but these days youtube is the best helper for me.

I admire their skills. I learn it and choose easy ones for her.

Judo, sushi, kimono, origami and even nemawashi  are being used as English along with a lot of other Japanese words. Whenever I see those words, I am very proud of being Japanese.
